Rome is a fascinating city in Europe, not for only and mostly for lovers 😀 It is nice to check it out for people who likes the city and old-times composition together. Uppss!! What did I say, city and old-times composition… Well, you will figure it out by looking the photos.
When I hear about city of Rome, everytime, gladiators are coming into my mind. I dont know why but, it is really really match thing with Rome and Colosseum. So, not surprisingly, first item in to-do-list is;
1. VISIT the COLOSSEUM
Colosseum is really fascinating place. It has very huge structure in itself. It came today from old times. Now, sometimes you can see the construction or restoration works around it. But, absolutely, it is fabulous to visit. Not, want to share historical knowledges, you can google it.
But, I can talk about the feelings when we were entering there. Firstly, I recommend you to get a RomePass card. You can get info by clicking the link and you can buy it in Rome by hand. We bought it by hand. It is really, really useful things that you can have it in Rome. There are lots of advantages in it, free bus tickets, entering to some museum free charge and without waiting the line (not all of them, check the infos). So, we got one of them, and didn’t wait too much to enter. Of price comes to your wallet back if you like to go to the museums.
There are many stones, brick faced concrete. It is really huge building. There are some little brick faced concrete residuals or some concrete column around the Colosseum in Rome. When we were going into it, a very big square welcomed us, it is really big that cant get in a one photo totally. There are some parts of it that I thought it was for the audiences in the old times. It looks like little concrete cabin or like balcony. We walked around into it as we were cleared of walking. There are some parts of it that has closed doors. But, the ambiance is absolutely fantastic. it feels you that you are in the old-times, there are some horses that pull the cabins or some gladiators are there…
2. World of PANTHEON
Second thing that you can do can be visiting the PANTHEON. Pantheon is another huge building in Rome. It has also concrete columns which are really big. You can realize the dimension of their size when you stand near it. This cant be explained by the words. Pantheon is crowded places due tourists visitations are enormous number. So, there are some cafes around of it. These cafes are selling delicious ice-cream. We loved to eat ice-cream by looking the fascinating view of Pantheon and getting some relaxation from the crowded.
When you enter the Pantheon, you can see a hole that opens through the sky. It is said that the rain cant enter from this hole. and there is sunlight enters and speakers can talk under of it. Pantheon is really interesting building and you should visit if you go to Rome.
3. Throw a coin into the FONTANA di TREVI
That is very famous and popular in Rome to throw a coin into the Fontana di Trevi. Here is really crowded place, too. There are many people who want to wish something, it is CLASSIC!.
First, think one wish or two, who can prevents you 🙂 then, throw the coin into the Fontana di Trevi. But, be careful that dont throw the coin to anybody’s head. It can be the wrong wish for the rest of the day 😀 After, you can look around there are some gift shops that you can buy something to the gift-crazy friends I mentioned before in Amsterdam article.
The figures are also really interesting in the middle of Fontana di Trevi. Please, dont turn back after throw the coin. View and take a time to feel the beauty of Fontana di Trevi.
Trastevere is amazing place with its roads. There are some roads for walking and looking around. There are some gift shops and pizza restaurants that you can eat delicious pizzas and have fun with your friends.
Trastevere has a bohemian ambiance, so it is enjoyful by walking there. You can take it as an alternative after the Colosseum, Fontana di Trevi or something else most famous in Rome. Because, here is a different face of Rome and it is really fun.
I dont want to share photo due dont miss the fun and curiosity about there. So, just walk or take a tram to see the ambiance of it.
5. PIAZZA di SPAGNA
Here is another crowded place in Rome, Piazza di Spagna, mostly know as Spanish Steps. Here is really good place to visit. There are many people here. There are some figures that you should visit. Firstly climb the steps and look through the view of downside. It is really valuable thing in Spanish Steps. You can see the crowded that walk to one side to another. Some of them are looking to the old gondol, some of them climbing the steps while some of them is going down after they had a great view of Spanish Steps.
Here is a very famous square in Rome. In that square, there is Fontana della Barcaccia. It has Baroque style, you can watch it upside from Spanish Steps or you can go near it and explore it closely. Both of them has amazing view and experience.
